Tiger and Deer
Bandhavgarh National Park India, 1996
Most of my tiger photography was done from the back of a guided elephant, that high angle often proved frustrating. I decided to sit in a grass hide at a secluded waterhole we knew the tigers used. In 16 afternoons with temperatures exceeding 120 farhenhit I had about 5 minutes of tiger time mostly after dark. I did enjoy photographing the tigers prey monkee,deer, and pigs coming to drink. I even shot 4 rolls of film after dark of a tiger that turned out to be a tree. I stopped this madness when I deliriously drank from the bottle clearly marked "pee"
