Elephant on the Mambili River

Elephant on the Mambili River
Odzala National Park, Congo, 2000
The elephants were scared of me. They have not yet forgotten the rampant poaching before the river was closed to hunters by ECOFAC. I knew that by floating the river just at dawn I could suprise some grazers and maybe make some images.

In years to come, Odzala will be a paradise to photograph in because the the animals will relax thanks to the protection.
